The Teletubbieslitter

The Teletubbies litter was our very first litter, and they arrived in the middle of the summer 2007 - the 2:nd of july. Thewre were two boys and two girs - exactly as the Teletubbies! We had fifteen wonderful weeks together, and it all ended with an international show in Tibro, where S*Beisto's Tinky-Winky got Ex1, became BIV, NOM and BIS!!! A fantastic day!! Dipsy got an Ex1, as did Po, and Laa-laa Ex2 after her sister. All the buyers were there and it was fantastic to share the happiness with them. Tinky-Winky now lives in Stockholm at S*Jollyrogers, Dipsy lives in Karlstad with his cornish-friend Elis, and Po lives in Linköping with her two Norwegian Forestcats; Saga and Puzzel. Laa-laa stayed with us, and will hopefylly be mum herself in the future!

We are waiting kittens i june/july between Pichon´s Nora and S*Rexilia´s Billy Idol!

Inbreed 1,42% in 6 generations. Billys excellent ears and earplacement will hopefully complement Nora´s large but a bit high placed ears. Billy also has very beautiful eyes. Billy already has one litter withEC S*Giggle´s Passaparola.

Doesn't he look beautiful the future father!

 

Nora and Billy dated week 17. 29:th of april they started to "get along" and looks this cosy together.







I'm sure these two lovebirds will have beautiful kittens together!

I think the mating has been a sucess. Nora is presenting "red tits" - look at the picture!

I also think her tummy is growing a little bit, but that might just be wishful thinking... But she is sleeping A LOT! And she is much more "cuddely" than usual, and purrs frequently. She spends most of her time slepping, at night in my bed and during the day wherever she finds it peaceful. Inbetween she is eating... Her weight is cathing up as well. She is not a very big lady, but the scales are going up slowly. Everything looks perfect!

Nora has gained a couple of pounds more. I would like her to gain much more weight, but I'm just nervous I guess... She is very cuddely which I find completley adorable! Acording to me she could be pregnant all the time! Just lovely to have her around and cuddle all the time...

Nora has been outside tonight as well. The weather is lovely! And she has also, together with our dog Tin-tin, eaten some raw chickenhearts again. They really taste nice she says! Tomorrow we are going to try raw chickenwings.

The little tummy is growing, almost so you can see it from day to day...

Nora has totally gained 350gram. Her boobies are growing and now really looks pregnant.

and also her tummy is growing, although someone who isn't used to her normally slender look won't think so.

We have also found a new snack, perfect for pregnant cats: raw chickenhearts! Nora gets one each day and really like it. Soon we are going to try raw chickenwings as well.

Nora has gained 275gram this week! Nice... She has some touble cleaning herself in "the rear", she seems to fall over every second time she is trying, but she still manages ok. I wonder how she feels about the weather? It is really hot here... This morning she was outside for a while, but she didn't seem to enjoy it very much so now she is in our sons room, situated on the north side of the house, with a window a bit open. Hopefyllu that will be a bit cooler for her. No new photos for the moment...

We do spend some time at the computers in our family. Instead of TV... And Nora is almost always lying beside me hon her little blanket grandma gave her. Usually she curls up like a little bun, but nowadays she can't lie like that anymore. Her tummy is in the way...

Mum it's hard to be big...

But otherwise she seems fine and she eats a lot. Getting a little spoiled, everytime I go out in the kitchens she wants some sweets (normal catfood but not the ususal brand, don't tell her!) and she wants to eat it directly from my hand... But I think it's ok to be a bit spoiled when you are a mother to be.

Nora has gained even more and she now looks like she had swallowed a football... But she is SO sweet and wants to be with "mommy" all the time. Sleeps beside or on top of me every night. And follows me almost everywere. She doesn't like it if I close the door when I go to the bathroom, then she tries to open it again.

Now the kittens are born! They arrived yesterday, 2:nd of july.

Nora started the whole thing by hiding in a box I thought was FULL of stuff, in our bedroom. Spent two nervous hours looking for her, everywhere (I thought) inside, outside, calling, yelling, almost crying. But, then I found her nice curled up in the box, on a high shelt just under the celing...

Shortly after (3.35pm)( she came and told med "it's time" so we had a short discussion on where to have the babies. She thought in the almost full box on the top shelf. I tought in the box I had arranged for her on the floor. I won

At 3.50 I could see something and spoke to my menthor Päivi via msn. Very nice. Than she had contractions for almost an hous and at 4.49 the first kitten came out. Just after, 4.59 the second one came. Twi nice big babies. The first one, probably a tortie, was 90gr and the second one, a black male, vas 94gr. Than she had a little rest, and 5.31 the third kitten came out, a red male 86gr. And then, after I'd just turned my back for a few seconds, the las one, a black or MAYBE a tortie, girl came out. The biggest one, 98gr. A super pretty little family.

The kittens are gaining weight nicely. The "maybe tortie" -girl must be a tortie, quite sure of that now. She gets more and more brigh spots that looks red.

Today we gave the kittens names! Until now the have just been "the tortie, "the maybe tortie", "the red" and "the black. We decided to give them names after the figures in Teletubbies; The black male is now S*Besitos Tinky-Winky. ´The red male is S*Besito´s Dipsy. The maybe-tortie girl will be S*Besito´s Laa-laa and finally the first tortie, the one with the most red, is S*Besito´s Po.

The kittens are still gaining weight perfectly. Really nice! My kids (the ones with two legs) are helping me weighing them every day round 7pm. Dipsy is more and more looking cream instead of red, but who knoes... My friend Päivi from Tiddlywinks is hopefully comming next weekend and will help me look at them.

I have spent two days building a "cage" for the cats outside. Had a BIG help from my father of course. You can see images here. The babies are doing great! Still gaing weight every day.

Today the kittens are one week old! Yesterday Tinky-winky and Po had doubled their weights, and today also Dipsy and Laa-laa dit. Took new pictures today, ofcourse!

S*Besitos Tinky-Winky. Sold black male. Does NOT like to be handeled yet, wants to be with mummy all the time. Was born as numer two and second heviest, still second second heviest. Was a bit bald to begin with but now he has fur all over.



S*Besitos Dipsy. Creme male? Seems a bit light to be red. Is he aguoti or is it ghostmarks? Hopefully time will tell or we will DNA-test him. Born as number two and still the smallest one in the group.



S*Besitos Laa-laa. Black torie girl, born as numer four and the biggest one in the group. Calm and easy going. Doesn't mind being handeled at all...



S*Besitos Po. Black tortie as well. Firstborn, second smallest in the group. A little huligan! Takes what she wants and who ever is in her way she just moves. Loves to cuddle om mummys neck...

All the kittens have opened their eyes so the webcam has been tured of since we want it darker in the room. Nora is still such a beautiful mum, only leaves them to eat. But she does trust every one in the family to handle the bebies. She gets a little bit worried and wants to see what we are doing, but then she alms down and goes back to the orthers.

Today they are already 2 weeks old! Time runs so fast...





First out Tinky-Winky, he's getting a bit lighter I think...Weighs 285gram today, almost as big as sister Laa-laa






Dipsy, the childrens favourite. But we can't have a fertile son AND hes fertile mother at home at the same time... And so hes colour? Creme I think. The stripes seem to be ghostmarkes since mum nora has licked them off! And I don't think he's silver... But who knows! Weighs 250grams today








Laa-laa, my big favourite! Will she stay? I had promised myself NOT to keep a baby from the first litter, but... She is just SO lovely!!!Mum Nora gets a bit worried and has to check what we are doing, off course... Still the biggest one, weighs 287grams today





And Po, almost everyones favourite! She is SO lovely with the red spot in her face! She is also getting a bit lighter, probably because she's a tortie...Weighs 274grams today.

Oh so much to do so little time... feel so bad I haven't taken the time to update this page in a while! But here we are now!

The kittens are growing SO fast! I donä't write down all the weights here anymore, but if you want to know just ask, all the weights are written down every single day! Actually our daughter is taking this very seriously and helps us weighing them every day. A breeder to be!

They are now living in a bigger box. Thank you Maria at S*Guzmanias for letting us borrow it! They are now developing even faster if possible. Wrestling and laying all the time. Such speed they have!

I have also started to serve them food. I'm giving them minced meat mixed with kitten-milk. Laa-laa and Tinky-winky have tasted and eats a little bit every time, but nora is eating the most of it. I guess they get the hang of it eventually. The watserbasin is ostly uset for bathing! and the litterbox is mostly used for playing! But nothing on the floor yet so maybe they do use it although I can't see any trace of it yet...

I don't get any nice photos of them! Really have to try soon again. But Kristina was here and took some lovely photos of them!

Finally some new pictures again! At there pictures they are ficve weeks, but they are actually six weeks old today. And I had SO many ambitions of updating the homepage almost everyday... Ha! Not easy I must say...

All four of them are now eating proper food, but still nursing as well. They eat Royal Canin babycat and also minced meat mixed with milk, and raw chickenhearts.

Oh over a month again... BIG overcompensation! The kittens are now 14 weeks old and ready to move from home. Dipsy will move tomorrow wednesday but will be back for the show in Tibro on saturday. and after the show, tinky-winky and Po will also move. 'm so glad we decided to keep Laa-laa with us! A small comfort though is our new baby - the sphynx "Busan" - S*Mumsikoff Evlampia Lapushka who moved here last weekend after the show in Nyköping! She is still owned by the breeder, but will live with us and have her babies in our home. Well, now some pics of our beautiful kittens!
